July was a very busy month. We weighed and did the nutritional level evaluations on every child. This information is posted on our sponsors’ files that can be accessed online so that sponsors can track their child’s progress. July is a month that we give a teaching (reminder) to the families about how to properly use and maintain their water filters. Having good clean water is such an important perk that these families receive to maintain a better level of health. Some of the families received the replacement piece for their filters that need to be replaced annually. A time of Bible sharing is always a part of our meetings; as well as praying for the Embrace sponsors. July is also the month where every child received their new shoes from our Middle of the Year Blessing project. The children were so excited to receive their shoes along with 3 pairs of socks as well. We are so grateful to our faithful sponsors that made sure that no child went home without their new shoes. Those that went the second mile and gave extra allowed the children who do not yet have a sponsor or whose sponsor did not participate; to also receive this blessing! I love it when we see the Lord bring in just what we need to not leave any child out. Just to plant the seed; the Christmas Blessing letters will be sent out by the beginning of next month…so that you can make this holiday season special for your Embrace child(ren).
