We had another registration in November for Embrace and signed up 9 new children into the program. We took the annual photos of the children; giving the children the choice of what backdrop to use. The choices this year were a princess castle, a Christmas tree with fireplace and dinosaurs. Christmas was the most popular this year! The new photos and updated file data will be sent out to the sponsors in December for their sponsored children. We celebrated quarterly birthdays at our monthly meetings; honoring those that have birthdays in October, November and December. Each birthday child receives a small toy, a coupon to use at the clinic store if they have an active sponsor; we sing to them and pray over them. Then everyone enjoys a small piece of cake and drink. Not anything super special by American standards; but for most of these children it is the only recognition that they get for their birthday. We do it a month early for our fourth quarter; to leave December strictly dedicated to our Christmas celebration with the children. Messages were sent to the sponsors of the 38 children that will be graduating out at the end of the year. We hope that the sponsors will prayerfully consider allowing us to give them a new child; to continue to support and impact the life of another Embrace child. We have done the purchasing for all of our Christmas Blessing packets and are just awaiting the deliveries and then putting together the packets. December is such a fun month to experience the children’s joy in receiving things from their sponsors and other sponsors who made sure that no child was left out! We are so grateful to our sponsors for their response to this year’s Christmas Blessing outreach!
