October was a busy month for Embrace. We had our final weighing, measuring for heights and the levels of nutrition done for every child; to have updated information to pass along to the sponsors. We finished doing the annual family interviews for the same purpose (to update sponsors) and to use this information to decide who will be graduating out of the program at the end of the year. A special offering was given to allow every family to receive the “protein package” this month; which was fish. About 70% of our sponsors provide the protein package for their sponsored child but this month 100% of the children were blessed with this extra assistance. We had two registrations to sign up new children into Embrace; that brought 10 new children into the program. This is in preparation for children that we know will be graduating out and the hope that when sponsors are notified of their child’s graduation; that they will prayerfully consider beginning the process toward restoring another child’s health level by receiving a new child to sponsor. We had an Adopt-a-Child activity with a team that was with us; that resulted in two new sponsors beginning sponsorship! The Bible teaching for this month was taken from 1 Timothy 2:5-6 and our topic sharing was on the “Importance of Attending School”. Embrace is about more than just coming to pick up their food bag! While that is very important to improve the child’s physical needs; we also try to address many other areas. By the time a family has been in the Embrace program for 3-4 years; they have been given a LOT of good resources to have a better quality of family life! You, our sponsors, make this possible and we are so grateful to you! You are truly impacting the life of your Embrace child! Our Christmas Blessing 2025 has closed out and we are in the process of starting to do all of the buying for what our sponsors ordered for their children! It will be a great Christmas for the children; with no child being forgotten. Again, thank you sponsors for reaching out to your children with something special and sending in “extra” so that we make sure that every child will receive something!
