January is one of our “health months” where we hone in on knowing the physical health status of each of our Embrace children. We weigh and measure them for their nutritional levels and compare with past readings. Every child gives both urine and stool samples and staff from a local laboratory are present to receive them. The results of these tests will be used in our February meetings; when every child will be given a health physical by Guatemalan doctors. We had a registration on January 28 and brought 15 new children into the program. We look forward to a new year to pour into these precious children and their families; addressing their physical, spiritual and educational needs.
