The December Embrace meetings are my favorites! Our Christmas Blessing outreach was a huge success. The generosity of our sponsors who participated made sure that no child left empty-handed. Everyone received a full food bag; even those who do not have a sponsor yet. This included a few extra treats such as coffee and chocolate to honor a Christmas tradition for them to enjoy! Every child received multiple gifts! Many received “coupon money” so that they could pick out items at the medical clinic’s store. It is so much fun to see the children’s reactions to what their sponsors have provided; including a lot of fun items as well as the pricier item such as stoves, silos and latrines that will serve the families for years to come. 32 families graduated out and many expressed their gratefulness for all of the assistance that they had received over the years and acknowledging how much better their child’s health was. I want to express my gratefulness to the sponsors who made this year’s Christmas Blessing outreach such a success! Every child left knowing that someone was thinking of them and wanting to make Christmas special for them!
