September meetings included celebrating the birthdays for the third quarter; for those children who have their birthdays in July, August and September. 53 children were honored, prayed over, sang to, given a small toy and a coupon to use at the ministry’s clinic store for those who have a sponsor. Everyone enjoyed some birthday cake and refreshment. It isn’t a huge deal but for most of these children; it will be the only remembrance or recognition of their birthday. Abner’s health talk was on oral health and every child received a new toothbrush. The devotional teaching was taken from Psalms 27:14. Ana, our clinic’s nurse; gave a “girl talk” to all of the little girls 10 years old and older about menstruation and they were given a pack of underwear and reuseable feminine products. We continue to do the annual interviews to update our records for each family to be able to pass the information along to the sponsors. Our Christmas Blessing 2025 has been launched and we are beginning to receive orders. We hope that this will be a very special Christmas for every Embrace child to feel loved and remembered as we bring some extra joy into their lives for this Christmas outreach. There are many children that do not have a sponsor to take them into account; and we count on the generosity of our sponsors to contribute to the Extra Blessing category to assure that no child is left out. All Christmas orders should be submitted and paid for (either by automated payment or checks arriving at the MI office) by no later than October 15. Together, let’s make this the best Christmas ever!
