Another month has come and gone! This month we weighed each child and did the evaluation of their nutritional levels; this is done 4 times a year to track their health. It was also the month that we did our bi-annual parasite treatment of every child and also their parents, if they wanted it! This alone makes a huge difference in the children’s health. We are constantly talking to them about hygiene, proper food preparation, and proper use of their water filters; but these parasite treatments make sure that the parasites don’t get out of hand in the children. It was nice to see a lot of the new shoes that were handed out last month being worn by the children now. You have been made aware of our new automated system for making payments that has been initiated. We are still tweaking things and there will be more things that we will make available in the future. It will almost be like shopping on amazon! We began our annual “family interviews” to update our files and to pass along to the sponsors soon any changes in their family. The children/families received their health talk which was about the importance of taking care of their health as well as the Bible devotion. We are so grateful for each of our sponsors that are truly making a difference in the life of a Guatemalan child! Together, we are impacting the lives of each Embrace child.
