December is always a fun month for our Embrace children and this year did not disappoint. Our sponsors were very generous to provide for their children and for those who do not have a sponsor yet. No child left empty handed and it was pure joy to see the smiles that it brought to the children. Receiving Christmas gifts is not a part of their culture as families struggle just to feed their children. But being able to provide the children with a little Christmas cheer is something that brings a lot of happiness to families. There were some extra treats in the food bags for Christmas; in the form of coffee and chocolate (a tradition in Guatemala) and a bag of marshmallows. I appreciate the faithfulness of our sponsors that made this Christmas be so special for all of the children.
